Our sixth Destination Dialogue covered Slovenia and was held at the Slovenian Embassy, just behind the Houses of Parliament in Westminster.

Heading the discussion panel along with our publisher Steve Thompson was Tine Murn, head of the tourism department at the Embassy of Slovenia and Verica Leskovar, head of promotion and marketing at Ljubljana Tourism. In the audience was Petra Stusek, head of PR for Ljubljana Tourism, as well as representatives from TUI Ski, Balkan Holidays, Cosmos and Zenith Holidays, who talked passionately about the many activities – both winter and summer, stunning scenery and exciting events available in Slovenia.

The conversation flowed, along with the Slovenian wine, as the agents in the audience asked questions about the country ranging from potential airlift to Slovenian food and culture..

At the end of the evening there was a prize draw and Dr Jay Chavda from CMC Travel claimed two nights in a three-star Ljubljana hotel with flights for two people, plus a Ljubljana Freedom Pass.
